The official figures jumble around a bit but somewhere in excess of 100 million people worldwide currently diagnosed "CURRENTLY DIAGNOSED!"
The possibility that an even greater percentage of undiagnosed type 2 diabetic victims are blissfully unaware of the terrible damage that is being inflicted upon them 24 hours a day. The complications are the same for both a type 2 diabetic and a type 1 diabetic
These are the most common problems associated with diabetes but there are a whole host of others.
you wont know its going on until the 100 mile an hour freight train called chronic illness and hospitalization comes crashing in on your seemingly healthy life.
By then it could be TOO LATE! Your pancreas could have become exhausted and damaged beyond repair. If this is the case then administered drugs of the oral of injectable kind will be part of your life from then on. Trust me, its no game havig to continuously medicate yourself, continuously having to make sure you have your Drugs, food, testing equipment, emergency contact details and emergency advice for passers by. I went through all this, several times in the initial months, underestimating the Ferocity at which a HYPO would come from out of nowhere and turn me into someone acting as if I had just drunk a bottle of whisky, Try dealing with that while a checkout assistant is asking what colour you'd like your matching shelving in. Its not fun, not one bit. I have never experienced anything quite so explosive as a full blown HYPO, and if you happen to be on your own without adequate food, you can slip into a hypoglycemic coma and if left unnoticed can die.
This is serious stuff. I'm speaking first hand. All this can be wavered in the face of a little education, It could quite literally save your life.
Speaking as a type 2 diabetic Im here to tell you something people, knowledge and education is power, dont take it sitting down people. Its never too late to turn it around. You just have to take steps
